Position Overview:


We are looking for a highly driven, self-motivated Production Manager to join our team in Richmond, B.C.  Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Manager oversees the production process, ensures equipment is functioning properly, manage product and package quality and develops, staffs and trains team members.


We continue to grow at Avigilon and need someone who enjoys taking on challenges in an ever changing environment.  This is a hands on role and the Production Manager is expected to interface with front line employees as well as executive management.


Candidates must be able to work in a fast paced, high performing manufacturing environment and meet production demands as required.  You must enjoy learning and growing with the organization, and be able to maintain your knowledge of progressive manufacturing processes and trends. 



  • Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members
  • Manage line effectiveness, key performance indicators and down time using MRP
  • Manage within labor and OPEX budget
  • Monitor the production process, make periodic checks and adjust equipment or work practices according to standard operating procedures

  • Manage overall package and product quality to ensure all standards and specifications

  • Verify the readiness of the production line at start-up and supervise change overs

  • Management of all production and shipping staff


Requirements and Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor degree in an applicable engineering, science, mathematics or business discipline
  • CPIM certification or in process of attaining (preferred)
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma training
  • Experience managing and coaching salaried and hourly employees in a manufacturing environment
  • Implementation and improvements of processes and technology in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a MRP environment; SAP preferred
  • Experience optimizing up-time and quality
