Senior Financial Analyst

Avigilon’s solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.

 

Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a highly motivated candidate with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen who will partner with several department leaders to help understand key business drivers, analyze results, prepare and review budgets and forecasts, and actively monitor and report performance to help drive improved financial results.  This role will report to the Senior Manager, Finance.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and mid-year budget reforecasts
  • Assisting with month end accruals and accounting close and reviewing financial results for reasonability
  • Preparing monthly operating expense and capital expenditure forecasts
  • Communicating financial performance, including monthly variance analysis and KPI dashboards
  • Evaluating risks and opportunities and making actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis and support, including business cases
  • Other ad hoc projects and duties as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Qualified professional accountant or MBA
  • 4+ years of experience of financial planning and analysis
  • Expert level proficiency in Excel, with advanced knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar experience with data mining and financial reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

 

Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with a multi-unit organization, including an R&D organization
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning
  • Multi-national company experience
  • Proven ability to implement and drive change and to thrive in a fast-paced complex environment
