    Software Developer, Internal Tools

Avigilon’s solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.


    Avigilon’s Devices development group is seeking an experienced Software developer to join our internal tools team.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Design and architecture of Avigilon's next generation Manufacturing software application
    • Understand Avigilon's manufacturing process and propose improvements to efficiency and automation
    • Apply your C++ and C# skills to implement the next generation of manufacturing application
    • Implement C/C++ code and shell scripts on an embedded target for efficient communication with the manufacturing application and hardware-test automation.
    • Continuously improve and maintain the manufacturing application for supporting new products


    • Strong C++, C++/CLI, and C# design and coding skills
    • Excellent C and C++ design and programming skills for embedded applications
    • Good understanding of electronics, electronic manufacturing, and manufacturing process
    • Firm grasp of operating system concepts including processes, threads, mutexes, interrupt handling, and exception handling
    • Experience with C/C++ compilation and debugging tools
    • Experience with design verification
    • Experience with scripting languages and version control systems
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
    • 1-5 years of experience in a software development role
    • Experience with GUI development and usability engineering concepts
    • Experience with development in a Linux environment for ARM target processors
    • Experience with Python
    • Knowledge of digital imaging/photography and audio/video coding
