Position Overview:

The Avigilon Product Marketing team is responsible for marketing the company’s exceptional product portfolio to end users, partners and customers on a worldwide basis. Our approach is to embrace the strength of our products and pace of innovation to drive marketing programs that are as entrepreneurial, data-driven and respectful of our customers as Avigilon itself.

 

We are looking for an energetic, driven and passionate individual that will contribute to Avigilon’s fast-paced product marketing team. This is your chance to be part of the complete marketing experience from product positioning to sales enablement. You will have a hand in shaping the product journey for all Avigilon products, including our advanced artificial intelligence, award-winning self-learning video analytics and leading video technologies, such as Appearance Search™, HDSM™ and SmartCodec™, just to name a few. You will also work with our powerful high-definition cameras, including the industry-first 7K (30 megapixel) HD Pro, high-performance video management software and a complementary physical access control system that is changing the way people interact with their security systems.

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Product Marketing, the Product Marketing Specialist is the co-owner of all global outbound customer-facing activities across Avigilon’s broad range of surveillance and physical access control solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sr. Product Marketing Manager and the marketing creative team to help craft and develop the messaging, positioning and content for customer-facing collateral, assets and tradeshows in support of launch activities and campaigns.

 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain awareness of Avigilon brand guidelines in all product assets
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to help craft the messaging and positioning for datasheets, flyers, quick selection guides, leaflets, brochures, architecture diagrams and other product-related collateral to meet launch objectives
  • Work closely with product management to develop and deliver product launch plans, message maps and sales webinars in support of launch initiatives
  • Assist with product lifecycle management across all business lines
  • Conduct competitive research and maintain knowledge of the physical security and related markets in order to correctly position new and existing products
  • Conduct interviews with internal sales to develop product collateral, VOC surveys and marketing tools
  • Attend security tradeshows on occasion to help with solution messaging and demo execution
  • Report and deliver product metrics on a quarterly basis

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on marketing or marketing communications
  • 5-7 years of product launch experience is a must
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Experience in physical security or related markets

  • Understanding and ability to tailor communication style to the audience
  • Excellent with people and capable of interacting in a professional manner with colleagues and cross-functional team members, and third party agencies
  • Possesses visionary and innovative thought processing skills
  • Strong user of Microsoft products including, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Available to travel up to 25% of the time
