    Production Manager

    Plano, TX


    Reporting to the Site Operations Director, the Production Manager, directly supervise all aspects of daily production. Responsible for the daily operations of the plant, overseeing safety, quality, delivery costs and morale standards.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members
    • Manage line effectiveness, key performance indicators and down time using Demand Driven Manufacturing techniques (Drum, Buffer, Rope & Replenishment)
    • Manage within labor and OPEX budget
    • Monitor the production process, make periodic checks and adjust equipment or work practices according to standard operating procedures
    • Ensure equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are safe at all times
    • Verify the readiness of the production line at start-up and supervise change overs
    • Manage overall package and product quality to ensure all standards and specifications
    • Set schedules and oversee time management of all staff
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor Degree in an applicable engineering, science, mathematics or business discipline
    • Experience managing and coaching salaried and hourly employees within a manufacturing environment
    • Experience with the Demand Driven Manufacturing techniques of Drum, Buffer, Rope scheduling & execution and Replenishment planning & execution an asset (OJT is available for these techniques)
    • Experience optimizing up-time and quality
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Experience managing growth in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience implementing process improvements and technology in a manufacturing environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft applications
    • Supervision experience in electronics manufacturing environment
