    Senior Quality Engineering Specialist

    Position Overview:

    Reporting to the Director, Quality Assurance, this role is responsible for supporting the Manufacturing team in improving the Quality of Avigilon’s portfolio of cameras and video surveillance devices.  This position involves championing a variety of efforts within the organization necessary to achieve the business goals and objectives.  Successful candidate will be working with a diverse team of manufacturing, engineering and supply chain managers, engineers and operations professionals on a variety of innovative solutions to enhance quality performance, eliminate waste, and ensure profitability in support of Avigilon’s growth strategy.



    Responsibilities include:

    • Work to reduce product failure costs and waste, analyzing data and working with cross functional teams
    • Lead and facilitate various quality improvement projects throughout manufacturing and champion best practice
    • Respond to critical quality situations and facilitate satisfactory resolution
    • Provide mentorship to a team of quality specialists/technicians
    • Generate and maintain quality reporting, establishing KPI metrics and scorecards
    • Implement and support an effective/efficient QC process throughout manufacturing
    • Act as the focal point for quality for NPI to production, liaising with design engineering teams
    • Work with engineering and suppliers as necessary, to address root cause and improve product quality
    • Manage the NCR & CAR process for manufacturing related issues
    • Continuously improve the Quality Management System, associated procedures and work instruction; conduct internal audits
    • Provide direct quality tools/techniques training and support to all manufacturing staff


    • A degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
    • 10+ years of experience in quality engineering
    • Extensive experience within electro-mechanical product manufacturing environment
    • Experience leading improvement initiatives with manufacturing teams
    • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality requirements
    • Ability to analyze data, establish root cause and drive problems to effective resolution

    Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:

    • Six Sigma Black belt certification
    • CQM/CQE ASQ certification
