    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the primary responsibility of the Engineering Change Specialist will be ensuring all Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCO’s) are implemented with minimal inventory exposure and production disruption.

    • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of all ECO's 
    • Monitor ECOs future effective dates
    • Ensure that all manufacturing engineering, purchasing and supply chain tasks are completed
    • Analyze production cost
    • Develop manufacturing procedures and support manufacturing for a successful roll out
    • Ensure that all inventory management tasks are completed
    • Track inventory run-down
    • Ensure that all finance tasks are completed
    • Close ECO when all actions have been completed
    • Analyzes master data, reports inconsistencies, recommends corrective action
    • Ensure that materials status in SAP are updated timely

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
    • Strong computer skills are required
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Working knowledge of SAP, within a manufacturing environment required
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment required
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
    • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills
    • Ability to take initiative and exercise excellent judgment

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
    • Technical certificate or degree 

    Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years prior experience in a similar role
    • Experience in operations management or supply chain background
    • Working knowledge of SAP is a must
    • Experience with PLM is an asset
